Hathway Router Login
192.168.1.1
Default login: 192.168.1.1 on ZTE and Genexis boxes: username Admin, password = the MAC ID printed on the back
App: Hathway Broadband
Works only while your phone or laptop is on this router's Wi-Fi or cable. On a phone, turn mobile data off first. If nothing opens, your router uses another address. The page that opens is your router's own; Routers Network never sees what you type there.
Key points
- Hathway's FAQ lists ZTE F660, F602W, 612W and Genexis Platinum 4410 boxes, all at 192.168.1.1.
- On those boxes the username is Admin and the password is the MAC ID from the back label, typed without colons.
- Separate Tenda and D-Link routers from Hathway open at 192.168.0.1 instead.
- Hathway asks for Wi-Fi passwords of 8 to 63 characters with at least one capital letter and one special character.
- No Hathway app changes the Wi-Fi password. Do it on the router page while connected at home.
On this page
The Hathway router login for the ZTE and Genexis fibre boxes opens at 192.168.1.1. Type Admin as the username and the MAC ID printed on the back as the password, then fill in the captcha. Separate Tenda and D-Link routers from Hathway open at 192.168.0.1 and ask for the password last set on them.
Which Hathway router do you have?
Before the Hathway router login, check the box: Hathway’s broadband FAQ says the make is printed on the front and the model number on the back. The ISP router guides by country cover every other provider.
| Your box | Kind | Address | Username | Password |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZTE F660, F602W or 612W | Fibre box with Wi-Fi | 192.168.1.1 | Admin | MAC ID on the back |
| Genexis Platinum 4410 | Fibre box with Wi-Fi | 192.168.1.1 | Admin | MAC ID on the back |
| Tenda AC1200 A9 | Wi-Fi router | 192.168.0.1 | None asked | Current password |
| D-Link DIR-615 | Wi-Fi router | 192.168.0.1 | Admin or current name | MAC ID or current password |
| D-Link DIR-842 | Wi-Fi router | 192.168.0.1 | None asked | Existing Wi-Fi password |
| TP-Link TL-WR850N | Wi-Fi router | 192.168.0.1 | See below | See below |
If your model is missing from the table, for example a ZTE F670L, Hathway gives no login for it. Use the username and password on that box’s own label.
Hathway ZTE router login
Hathway calls the three ZTE units integrated Wi-Fi devices: the fibre box and the Wi-Fi are one unit. Hathway spells the username Admin in its steps and admin in its speed tips, so try the other case if one fails. For ZTE units from other providers, see the ZTE router login help, and for the address itself, the 192.168.1.1 login page.
Hathway Genexis Platinum 4410 login
The Genexis box signs in the same way as the ZTE units, and its Wi-Fi settings sit under the Net tab at the top of the page. BSNL installs the same model, as the BSNL fibre router login page shows.
Hathway Tenda, D-Link and TP-Link router login
These routers sit next to the Hathway connection and all open at 192.168.0.1, which the 192.168.0.1 login page covers in general terms.
- D-Link DIR-842: Hathway’s FAQ says to type your existing Wi-Fi password into the Admin Password box. More D-Link models are on the D-Link router login page.
- TP-Link TL-WR850N: Hathway lists it but gives no login. TP-Link’s own help says its routers open at
tplinkwifi.netor192.168.0.1, older models useadmintwice, and newer ones ask you to create a password at first login.
Hathway router login on a phone
- Join the Hathway Wi-Fi, or plug a laptop into a LAN port on the box.
- Switch off mobile data so the phone does not leave the home network.
- Tap the browser’s address bar and type
http://192.168.1.1, orhttp://192.168.0.1for a Tenda or D-Link router. - Enter the username, then the password from the table above.
- Copy the captcha characters into the box Hathway calls the Validate Code, and sign in.
A page named after the maker should open: ZTE, GENEXIS or TENDA WIFI ROUTER.
Hathway router default password
On the ZTE and Genexis boxes, the factory password is the MAC ID, a code printed on the back label. Hathway calls it a 12 digit number without special characters. In practice that means the 12 letters and numbers of the MAC with every colon or dash left out. A MAC ID uses only the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F, so a round character is always the number zero.
The MAC ID works only until someone changes the login, for example the installer or a family member. Pick a replacement with these tips for a strong password.
| Your situation | Password to try |
|---|---|
| ZTE or Genexis box nobody has changed | Admin and the MAC ID |
| Box set up and changed by an installer | Ask the installer, then Hathway support |
| D-Link DIR-842 | Your current Wi-Fi password |
| Model missing from Hathway’s list | The pair on that box’s label |
There are three different logins, and Hathway says the Wi-Fi password and the router login are not necessarily the same.
| Login | What it opens | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Router login | The settings page at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 | Admin plus the MAC ID, or the one set later |
| Wi-Fi key | Lets phones and TVs join the network | Back label, or whatever was saved on the router |
| Self Care account | Bills, plans and speed test at hathway.com | Your registered mobile number |
For a lost Self Care password, Hathway’s help videos page says to use the Forgot Password option on the login page and verify your registered details.
Hathway WiFi password change
Change the Hathway WiFi password on the router page while connected at home; no online link or mobile login changes the key. The Hathway Broadband app books connections, tracks usage, pays bills, changes plans and logs service requests. Its listing names no Wi-Fi feature. Your registered mobile number signs you in to Self Care for bills, plans and the speed test, not to the router.
| Your box | Menu path | Name field | Key field | Save |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZTE F660, F602W, 612W | Network Interface > WLAN > SSID Settings | SSID Name | Security, then WPA Passphrase | Submit |
| Genexis Platinum 4410 | Net > LAN | SSID | WPA Pre-Certification Shared Key | Submit |
| Tenda AC1200 A9 | Wifi Settings > Wifi Name & Password | WIFI Name | WiFi Password | Save |
| D-Link DIR-615 | WIRELESS > Wireless Basics | Name (SSID) | Pre-Shared Key | Apply |
| D-Link DIR-842 | Settings > Wireless | Wi-Fi Name (SSID) | Password | Save |
These paths and the Genexis field name are copied from Hathway’s undated FAQ. If a menu on your screen has a different name, follow your own model’s menu. On the Tenda, pick WPA/WPA2-PSK as the encryption mode and repeat the steps for the 5GHz network, which uses the same menu. The SSID is the Wi-Fi name, explained further in what an SSID is.
Hathway sets three rules for the new key on its ZTE and Genexis steps:
- Use 8 to 63 characters.
- Include at least one capital letter and one special character.
- Leave the Hide SSID box unticked, or the network vanishes from every phone and TV.
After saving, reconnect each phone, laptop and smart TV with the new key. For slow Wi-Fi, Hathway’s FAQ suggests a 40MHz band width and channel 9 or 11 in the same WLAN menu.
Hathway router password reset
On its ZTE boxes, Hathway’s FAQ puts the Reset button next to the Power button. Press it with a pointed object for 10 seconds. Then join the network with the default Wi-Fi name and key printed on the back of the box.
Hathway also warns that a factory reset can restore other settings to their defaults. Its advice is to call support before a reset if you cannot reach the settings page at all. Hathway gives no reset steps for the Genexis box, so ask support for that model too.
Hathway customer care for router problems
Hathway’s contact page gives 1800 419 3114 for broadband complaints and queries. Complaints can also go in by email, through the app, through Self Care or in writing, and each one gets a docket number. If a complaint stays unsolved, Hathway lists an Appellate Authority for the next step.
The My Hathway app is for Hathway Digital TV, so use Hathway Broadband for internet requests. Hathway’s own home Wi-Fi security tips also advise turning off web admin access from outside the home and replacing the default router password. Airtel’s fibre boxes in India use a different pair, set out on the Airtel Xstream Fiber router login page.
Hathway router login page not opening
For causes beyond this list, use the checklist for a router page that will not load.
Password rejected on a ZTE or Genexis box
Type the MAC ID with no colons or dashes, and use the number zero, not the letter O. Then try admin in lowercase.
Captcha fails every time
Copy the Validate Code exactly as shown, or reload the page for a new one.
Label password no longer works
Someone changed it after setup. Ask the installer or family member first, then call Hathway before any reset.
Nothing loads at 192.168.1.1
A Tenda or D-Link router opens at 192.168.0.1. Also check that mobile data is off.
Typed a letter o or l in the address
Those are letters. Every part of the address is a number.
Wi-Fi disappeared after saving
Hide SSID got ticked. Join with a cable, untick it and submit again.
New Wi-Fi key refused or not saved
Follow Hathway's rule: 8 to 63 characters with at least one capital letter and one special character.
Wi-Fi connected but no internet
If one device is affected, reconnect it. If all are, restart the router and check your account in Self Care. Hathway says online payments can take 30 minutes to 4 hours to show.
Hathway plans or bill page opens
That is the Self Care site. The router page lives at the local address, with Wi-Fi joined.
Conclusion
Find the make and model on your box first, because the address and password differ between Hathway’s fibre boxes and its separate routers. If the MAC ID login fails, call Hathway before resetting. For a router that did not come from Hathway, the router login finder will help you reach it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the default username and password for a Hathway router?
On the ZTE and Genexis boxes in Hathway's list, the username is Admin and the password is the MAC ID printed on the back. Separate Tenda and D-Link routers take whatever password was last set, so ask whoever set them up if it is not yours.
Can I change my Hathway WiFi password online?
Not from a Hathway app or website. Its broadband app covers bills, usage, plan changes and service requests. Connect to your home Wi-Fi first, then open the router page and save the new key there.
What IP address does a Hathway router use?
192.168.1.1 for the ZTE and Genexis fibre boxes and 192.168.0.1 for the Tenda, D-Link and TP-Link routers Hathway names. If neither opens, your phone's Wi-Fi details show the gateway address in use.
I forgot my Hathway WiFi password. What can I do?
Read the back of the box first, since the factory Wi-Fi name and key are printed there. If someone changed it, sign in to the router from a laptop on a cable and set a new key, and call Hathway before you reset.
Is my Hathway Self Care password the same as the router password?
No. The Self Care account at hathway.com uses your registered mobile number and handles bills and plans. The router page at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 has its own login.
Does the Hathway ZTE F670L use the same login?
Hathway's FAQ lists only the ZTE F660, F602W and 612W, not the F670L, so no Hathway source confirms its login. Use the username and password on its own back label.
