Airtel Xstream Fiber Router Login
192.168.1.1
Default login: admin / password (the word), or the label on the back
App: Airtel Thanks, Xstream AirFiber
Works only while your phone or laptop is on this router's Wi-Fi or cable. On a phone, turn mobile data off first. If nothing opens, your router uses another address. The page that opens is your router's own; Routers Network never sees what you type there.
Key points
- Airtel's fibre and ZeroTouch DSL routers open at 192.168.1.1 with the username admin and the password password, the plain word.
- The back of the box carries the address, username and password if the default pair fails.
- Xstream AirFiber has no published web login. You set it up in the Xstream AirFiber app and manage Wi-Fi in the Airtel Thanks app.
- In the Thanks app, the Wi-Fi name and key sit under my wifi, then Wi-Fi, then Manage Wi-Fi ID and password.
- Airtel support answers on 121 from your registered mobile number.

The Airtel Xstream Fiber router login opens at 192.168.1.1. Airtel’s own guide gives the username admin and the password password, the plain word, and prints the same details on the back of the box. The ZeroTouch DSL router takes the same pair. Xstream AirFiber is different: Airtel runs it through two phone apps and publishes no web login for it.
Which Airtel router do you have?
Look at the cable that goes into the box. Airtel’s fibre troubleshooting guide describes a yellow patch cord that plugs into the ONT (optical network terminal, the fibre box), while copper lines use a phone cord, usually RJ11. AirFiber is sold as wireless home internet. Other providers have their own pages in the ISP router guides by country.
| Your box | What tells you | Where you sign in | Where to change Wi-Fi |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xstream Fiber router | Yellow fibre patch cord | http://192.168.1.1, admin / password | Setup > WLAN, or the Thanks app |
| ZeroTouch DSL router | Phone cord, usually RJ11 | http://192.168.1.1, admin / password | Setup > WLAN, or the Thanks app |
| Xstream AirFiber | Wireless, powered by 5G Plus | No web login published | Xstream AirFiber app, then the Thanks app Wi-Fi hub |
Airtel Xstream Fiber router
This is the fibre box: the yellow patch cord goes in and dual band Wi-Fi comes out. Airtel’s router login article never names the maker or model, so read the brand on the sticker before you trust any other guide.
Airtel ZeroTouch DSL router
Some Airtel broadband lines run over a telephone cable. Airtel calls this box the ZeroTouch router, a DSL modem router that comes in ADSL and VDSL types depending on the plan speed. It answers at the same address with the same pair, so the phone steps below work for it too. Other routers that share this address are listed on the 192.168.1.1 address page.
Airtel Xstream AirFiber
AirFiber brings the internet over Airtel’s 5G Plus network instead of a fibre line, and the unit has Wi-Fi 6 built in. Airtel sells it in its stores and publishes no web address, username or password for it, so skip the browser steps.
Airtel Nokia router default password
Airtel’s guides name no maker at all, so no source confirms which Nokia models Airtel fits. If your fibre box does carry the Nokia logo, Nokia’s XS-2426X-A quick reference guide puts the login address, username and password on the product label at the back. It also warns that repeated wrong passwords lock you out for a set time. Its example address is 192.168.1.254, not Airtel’s 192.168.1.1, so on a Nokia box trust the label over any list. Other Nokia models are covered on the Nokia router login page.
Airtel Xstream Fiber router login on a phone
Your phone has to reach the router itself, not the internet.
- Join your Airtel Wi-Fi network, or connect a laptop with a LAN cable.
- Turn mobile data off, so the phone cannot load the page over the mobile network.
- Open Chrome or any browser and type
http://192.168.1.1in the address bar at the top, not in the Google search box. - Type
adminas the username andpasswordas the password, exactly as shown, then tap Login. - The settings page opens. If you changed these details before, type your own instead.
On a Windows laptop, Airtel suggests a quick check of the address: open Command Prompt, type ipconfig and read the Default Gateway under the Wireless LAN adapter section. For iPhone, Android and Mac, these steps to find your router’s IP address cover each system.
Airtel also lists the address in the user manual handed over when your connection was installed, so check that booklet if the label is worn.
Two other Airtel sign-ins get mixed up with this one. The Airtel Thanks app logs in with your mobile number and handles plans and bills; that number is not a router password. Airtel also runs Xstream Play, a streaming app with its own Android TV version. A TV code or QR code prompt is not the router page, which only ever asks for a username and a password.
Airtel router default password
Every Airtel Xstream Fiber router login starts with the same pair until someone changes it: username admin, password password. The password is the English word, not a second admin.
Two passwords live on this box. The admin password opens the settings page. The Wi-Fi password, which Airtel’s menu calls the pre-shared key, lets phones join the network. Changing one leaves the other as it was.
To replace the admin password, sign in and open Maintenance > Password. Pick your username in the user account table, tap modify, type the old password and the new one twice, then save. Choose something long that only your household knows; these tips for a strong password help. Write it down too. Airtel’s reset guide names the hard reset as the usual way back in when an admin password is forgotten.
Change Airtel Xstream WiFi password
Airtel’s WiFi name and password guide warns that every connected device drops off once the change is saved, whichever route you use. Rejoin each phone, TV and laptop with the new key.
Change Wi-Fi password at 192.168.1.1
- Sign in at 192.168.1.1 as above.
- Open
Setup > WLAN > Basic. The SSID box holds the Wi-Fi name. Edit it and tap apply changes. - Open
Setup > WLAN > Security. Type the new Wi-Fi password in the pre-shared key box and tap apply changes again.
If you run a router of your own behind the Airtel box, the Wi-Fi password menus for other brands show where its key lives.
Change Wi-Fi password in the Airtel Thanks app
- Install the Airtel Thanks app and register your mobile number.
- Pick your landline (broadband) connection, then tap my wifi. Wait while the app fetches your router details.
- Tap Wi-Fi, then Manage Wi-Fi ID and password.
- Type the new name and password and tap save.
Airtel’s app steps never ask for the router’s admin password, so this route suits anyone who lost it.
Airtel Xstream AirFiber login and default password
AirFiber has no published login; it splits its controls across two Airtel apps. The Xstream AirFiber app handles setup: it helps you find the right spot for the unit and get it online. After that, Airtel points owners to the Wi-Fi hub in the Airtel Thanks app to control who can join and to watch usage. New phones join by scanning the QR code or by picking the Wi-Fi name.
Do not try addresses or passwords copied from forums. If neither app shows the setting you need, ask Airtel support.
Airtel Xstream router reset and support
The Thanks app fetches your router details before it lets you edit Wi-Fi. Its My Wi-Fi area can diagnose the connection, check coverage and run Optimize Wi-Fi under broadband > My Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi.
Try a restart first. The same Airtel fibre guide says to switch the ONT or router off until the lights go out, wait 15 to 20 seconds, then power it back on. Steady green power, internet and Wi-Fi lights mean the box is fine, though the exact lights vary by model.
Airtel’s router reset guide says to hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait another 30 seconds while the router comes back. It wipes passwords, port forwarding and custom DNS servers but keeps the firmware. If you have a separate modem and router, Airtel tells you to unplug the modem first. Ask Airtel before you reset a fibre box; the factory reset checklist lists the connection details an ISP box can need afterwards.
Call 121 from your registered mobile number when the internet light stays off after a restart. Call too when a setting you need is missing or will not save, or when no login on the label works. Airtel notes that a call tells you whether the fault is on its side or the box needs replacing. If your household also has a BSNL line, the BSNL router login steps cover those boxes.
Airtel router login page not opening
Work down this list, and use the checklist for a router page that will not load for rarer causes.
"This site can't be reached" or the page keeps loading
The phone is not on the Airtel Wi-Fi, or mobile data is still on. Join the Airtel network, switch data off and type the address again with http:// at the start.
Google results appear instead of a login box
The address went into the search box. Tap the address bar at the very top and type http://192.168.1.1 there.
Nothing opens after typing 192.168.o.1
That is the letter o, not a zero. Every part of the address is a number: 192.168.1.1.
"Your connection is not private"
The browser tried a secure https link. Type http:// yourself at the start of the address.
"Invalid username or password" with admin twice
Airtel's password is the word password, not admin. If that fails too, someone changed it: read the back label, then ask whoever set up the box.
Locked out after several wrong tries
Nokia's XS-2426X-A guide warns of a timed lockout after repeated failures. Wait before the next try instead of guessing again.
Internet light off on the fibre box
Check that the yellow patch cord sits firmly in the ONT and has no sharp bends, restart the box, then call 121 if the light stays off.
No login page at all on AirFiber
Airtel publishes none for this unit. Use the Xstream AirFiber app for setup and the Airtel Thanks app for Wi-Fi.
Conclusion
If admin and the word password fail at 192.168.1.1, read the back label before any reset, because a reset also wipes your Wi-Fi name and key. To change only the Wi-Fi key, the Airtel Thanks app needs no admin password, and AirFiber owners use its Wi-Fi hub. If your box turns out not to be an Airtel unit, the router login finder helps you reach it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Airtel router password after a reset?
A reset puts back the factory login. On Airtel's fibre and ZeroTouch routers that is admin with the word password, and the label on the back shows the details for your exact box. Your old Wi-Fi name and key are gone too, so set them again.
Can I change my Airtel WiFi password online?
Yes. In the Airtel Thanks app, open your landline connection, tap my wifi, then Wi-Fi, then Manage Wi-Fi ID and password, and save the new one. Every connected phone and TV then needs the new key.
Why is my Airtel router default password not working?
Either someone changed it during setup, or the box is not the Airtel model the default covers. Read the label on the back, ask whoever installed the router, and call 121 before you think about a reset.
Is the Airtel WiFi password the same as the router password?
No. They sit in different menus: the Wi-Fi key is the pre-shared key under Setup, WLAN, Security, and the admin password is under Maintenance, Password. A Wi-Fi key change in the Thanks app leaves the admin password as it was.
How do I see my Airtel Xstream WiFi password if I forgot it?
Open the Airtel Thanks app and go to Manage Wi-Fi ID and password under my wifi. If you cannot get it back, join the router by cable, sign in at 192.168.1.1 and set a new key under Setup, WLAN, Security.
Does Airtel Xstream AirFiber use 192.168.1.1?
Airtel publishes no browser address or admin login for AirFiber. Its controls live in the Xstream AirFiber app for setup and in the Airtel Thanks app for Wi-Fi, so start there.
