Excitel Router Login

The Excitel router login opens at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, the two addresses Excitel’s own help articles give. The default username and password are usually printed on the router label. If they fail, the local partner who installed your connection may have changed them. Your Excitel account password is a different thing and will not open this page.

Which Excitel router do you have?

Excitel’s FAQ says a home connection needs a router and an ONT or modem, and that a Wi-Fi router comes with its plans. The ONT is the fibre box, which Excitel’s terms call an ONU. Some homes get one box that does both jobs. Others get a plain fibre box with a separate Wi-Fi router. Look at the boxes near your fibre cable first.

Excitel names no device models on its site. Models users mention on Indian forums include a Genexis Titanium-2122A and a Ubiqcom GPON ONU. These are user reports, not an Excitel list, and no Excitel or maker page gives an address or login for them, so the label wins. Other Indian and African providers sit on the ISP router login hub. Excitel’s own login article tells readers to type the address in the “search bar”, which sends many people to search results instead. The address bar is the strip at the very top of the browser. Excitel WiFi password change

Change the Excitel WiFi password in the my Excitel app if your version shows the Wi-Fi option, or on the router page under Wireless, Wireless Settings or SSID. Whichever way you change the Wi-Fi name and key, every phone and TV must join again with the new key.

The app’s description lists bills, account details, troubleshooting and cases. Its App Store release notes for version 3.29.0, dated 6 October 2026, read “Wifi SSID and Password change improvements”. Version 3.26.0 added a list of connected Wi-Fi and wired devices. Update the app from the App Store or the my Excitel listing on Google Play, then look for the Wi-Fi option. If your app does not show it for your box, use the router page instead.

Excitel router password reset

Hold off on the reset button until you have asked Excitel. First open the my Excitel app: its troubleshooting area shows global issues affecting a wider area and your “Last Attempt Failure Detail”. If a wider outage is listed, a reset will not fix it. Excitel’s terms say the ONU and router given with a bundled plan are free to use but stay Excitel’s property. A reset also wipes whatever the partner set up for your connection, and Excitel’s FAQ says its technical team can help with router configuration.

If you do reset, the label login and the label Wi-Fi key normally come back. Log in, set a new admin password and a new Wi-Fi key, and test the internet. If the internet light stays off, raise a ticket rather than trying settings from forums. If the box is physically damaged, Excitel’s terms replace it on request for Rs 2000, as of October 2026.

Excitel customer care for router problems

Excitel’s FAQ on support and devices says raising a ticket in the Excitel app is the fastest way to log a complaint. Other routes it lists, as of October 2026:

Call them when the login page loads but no label pair works, when the internet stays down after a restart, or when the box keeps freezing. Excitel’s terms promise to replace a faulty ONU after a complaint. As of October 2026, its FAQ adds one day of validity for every 4 hours without connection, for no-connectivity cases only. You may also add your own router; Excitel says it is usually used as an extender for more coverage.

When you leave Excitel, the ONU goes back to a person Excitel appoints, such as the local cable operator, a retail partner or a logistics firm. If you paid a security deposit, Excitel’s terms (as of October 2026) refund it online within 45 working days after it accepts the ONU. The same terms forfeit the deposit after more than six months without a renewal, so return the box promptly. "This site can't be reached" at 192.168.1.1

Try 192.168.0.1. Check that the phone is on the Excitel Wi-Fi and that mobile data is off.

A page of search results opens

The browser treated the address as a search. Clear the top bar, type http://192.168.1.1 with no spaces and press Go.

Nothing opens after typing a letter o

That is a letter o. Every part is a number: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Label username and password rejected

The local partner may have changed them during setup. Ask them or raise a ticket before you reset.

Account password does not work on the router

The self-care password only opens the my Excitel app and portal. Use the router label pair.

Admin page freezes after a few clicks

Users report this on some Excitel routers. Restart the router with its power button, try again, and raise a ticket if it keeps freezing.

Wi-Fi connects but no website loads

Check global issues in the my Excitel app, restart the router once, then raise a ticket in the app if it stays down.

An extra network called www.excitel.com appears

Some users see this second network on Excitel fibre routers. Ignore it and join your own network, or ask Excitel about it.

Conclusion

Check the label first, then try both addresses with mobile data off. If the label pair fails, ask the local partner or raise a ticket before you press reset, because the box belongs to Excitel.
